MDMFA Design Challenges

#1: Replicating Alexander Girard's textile design
                                       Before                                                                                                              After
My thought process during this design challenge was trying to get a better feel of using Illustrator. It was challenging trying to create the shapes, but after more practice and feedback from peers, I was able to recreate it almost perfectly.
#2: Creating a vector file of Alexander Girard's artwork from a sketch
                                     Before                                                                                                                        After
I used the brush tool for this design challenge. The only problem with that was the uneven and blob-looking shapes. The feedback I received was to use the fill tool and the brush tool for smaller details. This helped refine the shapes a lot and the time I spent on this project was cut in half.
#3: Brand Vision Boards
I was able to also work on the optional design challenges. I enjoyed these because we were able to get creative and make our version of vision boards using the same media assets. It was a great challenge to work with that taught me a lot about design and about the platform that was used.
#4: Color, Forms, and Images
These three images were made based on the theme "Earth Day." Photoshop was the application that was used. My thought process was more of a question. What feelings are conveyed when looking at these three images separately? I wanted to make something earthy, nature, and relaxing.
